“It’s a project in which I tried to describe how the Soul, when in touch with Nature, can open up to It, with complete trust or, otherwise, may struggle against It, suffering.
The presence of the storm has an important value, since it reflects a general tormented and anguished state, symbolized by the stormy clouds approaching and by the vivid, yet deeply dark colours resulting in the images.
Actually, any element in the pictures is symbolic and puts more emphasis on the inner struggle between the two souls.
The contrast – both physical and behavioural – between the two models, in fact, additionally underlines the mood and creates a fascinating counterpoint, which lets who observe perceive who suffers and struggles and, on the other hand, who trusts and rely on – almost quietly and peacefully – this natural anguish itself, abandoned in it’s very arms…like in the waves of a dark sea, when the storm is approaching.”
