“The Golden Imprint” by Viet Ha Tran & Van Thanh Cong

About “The Golden Imprint”
“The Golden Imprint” is an art photography project between the Madrid-based Vietnamese photographer Viet Ha Tran, and the Ho Chi Minh City-based Vietnamese leading fashion designer Van Thanh Cong to promote Vietnamese tradition and fashion to the world.
The photos from “The Golden Imprint” with hand-made tradition-inspired costumes was inspired by the phoenix and motifs on ancient Dong Son bronze drums of Vietnam and try to draw a picture of Vietnamese tradition and art. The background, a temple in Ho Chi Minh City, helps transmiting a traditional Asian atmosphere to the audience.
The photoshoot had the participation of the three Vietnamese supermodels Dieu Huyen, Oanh Di, Nhu Van, and the renowned accesory designer Do Van Tri.

Van Thanh Cong started his fashion design career 15 years ago and nowadays has become a key name in the Vietnamese fashion industry and appears with frequency in Vietnamese leading newspapers, fashion magazines and his designs are well sought after by top fashion shows and events.

About the photographer:
Viet Ha is a Vietnamese romanticism-influenced fine art photographer currently residing in Madrid, Spain. Instead of taking photos, she tries to draw pictures of women’s emotions, inner dreams, intimacy, poetry and philosophy with her camera. Thus, her photos, apart from having an air of classic paintings, capture an ephemeral moment of feminine emotions flowing through the river of time.
Viet Ha´s photography has been featured in a wide number of newspapers and photography magazines such as Vogue Italia, Vietnam News, Vietnamese BusinessWoman, Photography MasterClass Magazine, Visual Artistry Magazine, Solis Magazine etc. She was the semi-finalist in the Spanish National Digital Photography Contest Canson Infinity 2013, and won Honorable Mentions in the International Photography Awards 2013. In April 2014 she shot for Talents Shooting of Vogue Italia and in August 2014, her photos were selected to appear at the digital exhibition at Saatchi Gallery London. Her artwork also appeared at Brighton Photo Biennial 2014, UK’s largest photography festival.
She is represented by the joint project of the world’s largest photo agency Art + Commerce (New York) & Vogue Italia (Milan), two galleries from Paris and three contemporary art platforms from New York, Paris and London.
