“My name is Darja Bilyk and I’m a photographer from Moscow, Russia, but I have recently moved to Edinburgh, Scotland.
I don’t frame myself as one genre photographer, I love landscape and stills but my most favorite will be sensitive portraits and adding a bit of magic to my pictures.
Most of the times I work alone doing the make-up myself and giving the necessary clothes.
I get a lot of inspiration from my dreams. And if it’s a nightmare then I create some dark pictures and it helps the nightmares to go away.
Before I moved to Scotland I had worked as a teacher at school so a lot of inspiration has come from there.”
