“Maison close” by Thomas Depaepe

This photoshoot is called “Maison close”. In french “maison close” means brothel but also refers to the idea of confinement: it’s a place you can’t escape, a place with no way out where you just live with your past (without any future in a way) and memory of good old time.
Pictures are focusing either on nostalgy to show a time which fade away, or focus on the fearless and strength of a woman.
